Ecospecifier and Green Star Pre-Assessment

In 2007 Verosol’s complete range of energy efficient, high performance blinds were assessed
and met the criteria for inclusion on www. ecospecifier.org. The range of fabrics pre-assessed
and approved include:

  1. SilverScreen: semi transparent metal backed woven screen roller and panel glide blind fabric
  2. 812: semi transparent metal backed woven Trevira CS roller, pleated and panel glide blind fabric
  3. 878: non transparent metal backed woven Trevira CS roller, pleated and panel glide blind fabric

Verosol fabrics have been listed under all six ecospecifier summary assessment criteria:

  1. Energy / Greenhouse
  2. Habitat & Land
  3. Resource Depletion & Efficiency
  4. Human Health
  5. Pollution Reduction
  6. Other Vital Signs

Green Star Rating Tool Criteria

Verosol’s range of assessed fabrics may then be eligible to help projects achieve credits under several criteria for the Green Building Council of Austraila’s Green Star rating tools. Such categories include:

  1. Energy
  2. Energy Improvement
  3. Indoor Environmental Quality
  4. Daylight Glare Control
  5. Thermal Comfort
  6. Individual Comfort Control
  7. Materials - PVC minimisation
